Farm-A-Thons
Farm—A-Thons
are organized by community service organizations, church or corporate
service groups who work at a CSA farm for a number of hours to raise
money for the Partner Shares Program, a fund to help low-income families
receive CSA shares.
The sponsoring
organization or group:
-
chooses the farm and sets up a workday and time directly with the farm
-
promotes the event to staff or participants
-
participants raise money by finding sponsors each hour of work they put in at the farm.
MACSAC/Partner Shares:

helps organizations choose the right farm
-
assists with marketing and promotion
-
provides support as needed on the day of the event
